I hold a Film degree from the Federal Fluminense University and have been working as a Post-Production Coordinator, Visual Compositor, Motion Designer, and VFX Artist since 2010. I led the post-production department at Segunda-Feira Filmes for over 13 years, coordinating post-production teams across a wide range of productions. These include TV series for networks like TV Escola, TAL – Televisión de América Latina, CineBrasilTV, and international broadcasters such as Discovery H&H; feature films, documentaries, and award-winning short films featured in national and international festivals; and advertising campaigns for clients like Coca-Cola, Visa, and Facebook.

I have collaborated on international productions such as the multi-award-winning short film Joyeux Café (Zombie Studio); the music video for Beautiful Love by Justin Bieber (Passion Pictures); the Apple TV Christmas special The Velveteen Rabbit (Red Knuckles); the game trailer Free Fire Reunite the World (Passion Pictures); the acclaimed animated series Irmão de Jorel (Copa Studio – Cartoon Network); the animated feature films Tromba Trem – o Filme and Perlimps (the latest production by Alê Abreu, director of The Boy and the World – winner of Annecy 2014 and Oscar-nominated in 2014) produced by Buriti Filmes; and the Official Tokyo 2020 Olympics Broadcast Spot for Rede Globo, produced by Combo Studio.

Recent Work

Over the past few years, I have worked as a Senior Compositor on various national and international productions, specializing in animation compositing. My responsibilities have included integrating characters and environments, applying visual effects, performing lighting and color adjustments, and enhancing the unique visual style of each project. I consistently strive to strengthen the aesthetic and narrative language of the animation during the final stages of production.

Passion Pictures

Since 2022, I have had the privilege of contributing to various productions at Passion Pictures (UK), one of the world’s leading animation studios. Work entirely remotely on London Time (GMT/BST).

Founded in 1987, Passion Pictures is a British studio renowned for its award-winning animations and documentaries, such as Searching for Sugar Man. The studio is also celebrated for its iconic Gorillaz music videos and memorable advertising campaigns.

Fatal Fury CR7 (Advertisement, 2025)

My main role was to integrate Cristiano Ronaldo’s studio footage with Gameplay animations and 2D FXs. For better integration, I relit some of the shots to match the FXs color and light emissions. I also performed some roto and paint to fix minor footage issues.

Must Cinnadust (Advertisement, 2025)

For this stop-motion project, I performed clean-up work to remove rigs, shadows and imperfections on the miniature set. The big challenge was removing the faceplate rig, which required extensive tracking.

Suchard Mart1n (Advertisement, 2025)

I was responsible for the full CG compositing, skillfully balancing multiple AOVs to achieve the final image. My duties also included creating all screen animations, screen replacements, and texture effects. Furthermore, I enhanced the intensity of the sandstorm scene by integrating custom particle simulations directly within Nuke.

The main creative challenge for this project was to achieve a warm, Christmas-style atmosphere, which required a delicate balance of atmospheric fog, sparkling highlights, and festive shine to create the perfect holiday mood.

Compare the Market – Autosergei (Advertisement, 2024)

My responsibilities included the seamless integration of the animated characters into the live-action scene with Paul Hollywood, which involved rotoscoping him for interactions with the CG elements and props. A key technical challenge was balancing the CG lighting to match the live-action plate, ensuring the characters’ fur and fine details remained visible and believable within the scene.

This job involved seamlessly integrating the animated characters into the live-action plate, managing multiple AOVs and rotoscoping several objects to interact with the characters, and adding some reflections on the cups and bowls. I also created the fog glass effect and some floating particles on the scene.

For this preschool series for Apple TV+, I handled all compositing within Toon Boom Harmony, which included building particle systems for various episodes. The role also demanded numerous animation fixes and adjustments to ensure a seamless and polished final result.

My responsibilities included general compositing, where I synthesized multiple AOVs to achieve the final image. I was also responsible for creating a variety of FX, including dynamic portals, and seamlessly integrating 2D FX elements into the scenes.

Free Fire Reunite The World (game trailer)

I managed the final composite by integrating multiple AOVs and a broad spectrum of VFX, including environmental effects, dynamic simulations, and all screen graphics. The visual intensity was driven by custom glow and flash effects, culminating in a high-energy and explosive finale.

Justin Bieber “Beautiful Love” (music video)

I was responsible for general compositing, skillfully balancing multiple AOVs to unify the scene. In this project, role focused on integrating 2D animated elements with the primary 3D animation. This included creating all rain and water splash effects using particle systems in Nuke, performing digital matte painting (DMP) to extend the backgrounds, and applying final color correction to ensure a cohesive and polished final render.

Red Knuckles is an independent animation studio founded in London in 2014, specializing in 2D, 2.5D, and 3D animation. It is recognized for its distinctive visual style and compelling narratives. The studio’s award-winning work includes Project Literacy and the short films Dark Noir and Strange Beasts. Work entirely remotely on London Time (GMT/BST).

I worked on the tunnel sequence, creating the 2D traditional look on top of the 3d animated characters and integrating the 2D effects.

As Senior AE Compositor for the animated short film, I was responsible for crafting the final look through the use of light and shadow effects on the characters to fully integrate with the background. My work focused on enhancing the traditional 2D animation and building rich atmospheric elements to achieve a cohesive and visually compelling result.

For this impactful, multi-award-winning short film, I contributed key VFX work including the cleanup of stop-motion sequences, digital head replacement, and the integration of both 3D and 2D visual effects.

Perlimps (Animated Feature)

I performed 2D compositing for “Perlimps”, the most recent featured animation from Alê Abreu ( The Boy and the World / O menino e o Mundo – Annecy 2014 winner, Academy Awards 2014 nominee). My job consisted on receiving the PSD animation file, preparing it for the composition, then exporting it and composing it on AE with all the FX required.
All animations came flat color wise, so I was also responsible for creating and animating frame by frame the lights and shadows through shapes and masks.

Combo Studios

Combo Studio is a Brazilian 2D digital animation studio founded in 2015, located in downtown Rio de Janeiro. The studio produces series, web animations, apps, and games, and is recognized for works such as “Any Malu Show” and “Super Drags,” in addition to collaborating on international projects like the 7th season of “Rick and Morty” and “Agent Elvis.”

 Tokyo 2020 Olympics Official Spot Rede Globo (Advertising)

I was responsible for the post-production, composition, and VFX for the Official Tokio 2020 Rede Globo Spot. My attributions: compositing the Harmony animations within given backgrounds, creating the transitions between animation and live-action, color grading all live-action footage and compositing a complex end scene that required keying 19 people and integrating them with a 2.5D scene created by me using given illustrations.

I was responsible for animating all end credits using the illustrations available and syncing with the soundtrack.

I performed 2D compositing and VFX for the feature animation. All the VFX was created through plugins inside of After Effects, including the fire sequence and the screen FX on the final sequence.

I performed 2D compositing and VFX for the award-winning animation series “Jorel’s Brother – Cartoon Network”. It required that I export specific layers of elements from Harmony to compose it better in AE. All the VFX was created through plugins, following available styles from previous seasons or creating brand new looks.

Segunda-Feira Filmes

O Homem Na Caixa (Animated Short)

I co-directed the film and oversaw the entire post-production pipeline. This included serving as the sole compositor and VFX artist, performing the final color grade, and handling the end-to-end creation of all 3D props—modeling, animating, and rendering them in Cinema 4D.
